We all know camp is fun.  How could it not be with so many different activities and special events? Summer camps let children develop and grow in a different environment then they are use to. Children develop new friendships, learn new ideas and grow as individuals as they experience summer camp life. Many of the positive skills children learn at summer camp are called upon later in life. Campers experience physical fitness, improved socialization and enhanced personal growth.

Sadly, many children with cancer never get to experience summer camp. The ASPN has decided to send children affected by cancer to medically supervised camps where they have a wonderful time in the great outdoors. They will be supported by other kids who understand what they’re going through. They do it all while receiving the treatments they need.

Our 2021 goal is to be able to send at least 10 children to KOA Care Summer camp.  Until cancer is a memory, KOA Care Camps will continue to help these great kids make joyful memories of their own. To apply please send a 200 word essay(may be handwritten) as to why you want to attend summer camp and mail it to ASPN, 4862 CR 307, Lake Panasoffkee, FL 33538 by May 31st.
